Cory Asbury's Reckless Love, voted "Worship Song of the Year" by 2018 K-LOVE Fan Awards, has been absolutely wrecking hearts to run to the heart of Christ in worship.
Twenty-year-old Delta-native and worship leader Ethan Oltremari found himself amongst those Reckless-Love- wrecked-hearts along with a calling to go a step further. So, a step further is exactly what he has taken.
Beginning to play piano at the age of 5, Oltremari's journey has always joined hands with music. It was while leading worship for a Fellowship of Christian Athlete's event at school in 2015 that his calling was confirmed. That confirmation would continue to catapult as Oltremari stepped through opened doors that have led him deeper into ministry through music.
Oltremari's statement, "Music unifies people," has been seen first-hand through the tasks taken on by founding his very own record label, River Records, in the fall of 2016 in Greenwood, Mississippi.
River Records' mission of taking an artist in the beginning of their journey and producing a first CD points to the production of Oltremari's new release, Reckless Love.
"I remember the first time I played Reckless Love about a year ago," says Oltremari. "Hearing everyone singing it - realizing the potential this song had - I can't even explain the feeling."
That feeling -- combined with calling and countless hours of preparation -- produced the passion in Oltremari's heart into a revival of Reckless Love, released right here in Mississippi (the birthplace of America's music).
Every once in awhile a song comes along that wrecks a generation and generates revival.
Revival that rests on the reckless love of a Savior that loves us so much He won't let us stay where we are.
This is Reckless Love.
